Delivery of a WIDOORTESTER window broadcasting station for the GIT institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
RED:The impetus for this conversation is your delivery of the WIDOORTESTER window test bed for the GIT institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Adam, the Mobile Building Technology Laboratory has been in operation for almost 20 years. What is the main field of activity of the laboratory?
Our laboratory specializes in testing windows and exterior doors. We are accredited in all testing methods including sound insulation testing, using our own testing chambers. These are necessary tests for CE marking of the product in the 3 assessment system. We also perform tests for burglary resistance, operating forces and mechanical strength for windows. Many years of experience allow us to offer the highest quality services, in line with manufacturers’ needs and market expectations.
We also fulfill orders for WIDOORTESTER test stands for window and door manufacturers. In Bosnia and Herzegovina this is our third realization, and there are many more in Poland.

RED: It’s not easy to properly test a window or door yourself and determine its grades – do you also offer training?
Yes, we organize training courses in Polish and English for test stand operators. Thanks to them, users gain knowledge of the equipment and testing methods, which translates into more efficient work. Our training helps them understand the full potential of the available tools, which in turn allows them to optimize their research processes.
RED : Mobile laboratory is associated by many with field services, I know there is a laboratory based in Walbrzych what kind of research do you do there ?
As I mentioned at the beginning of our conversation, we perform all testing methods to evaluate the properties needed by the manufacturer to mark the product with the CE mark. We have 5×4 and 3×3 test stands, which gives us the ability to test two samples at the same time.
In addition, we perform tests of burglar resistance and acoustic insulation in our own reverberation chamber. I invite you to watch the video “Acoustic Insulation Testing Laboratory – Technique and Acoustics” filmed by ProperSound
RED: Reliability and independence of testing are very important in this industry. How do you ensure these values in practice?
The key is the objectivity and quality of our research. Customers can rest assured that our work is reliable and in line with current standards. We are constantly working to improve so that our research is not only accurate, but also conducted with due diligence. This also applies to the documentation of results that the manufacturer receives after testing.
RED: The Mobile Laboratory is recognized in the Keystone window certification program.
What does this mean?
First of all, it’s a huge convenience, for manufacturers who want to export windows to the US. We are the only unit in Poland recognized in this program, and there is another significant one in Europe. It is worth noting the scope of testing and competence.
The Keystone window certification program (Keystone Window Certification Program ) requires that tests be conducted by independent laboratories that meet certain quality requirements. All laboratories that wish to test under the Keystone Certification Program must apply for accreditation, and their processes and quality management systems are thoroughly evaluated by an accredited body.
RED: There are tornadoes raging across the US and Kandy, in order to compete will Polish manufacturers want to do hurricane tests or do you intend to offer them as well?
Yes actually, we have such plans. We will let you know when we can provide more details. Thank you for the interview.
